801 Main Senior Apartments is a new construction development that achieved EarthCraft Multifamily (ECMF) Platinum certification in 2017. Located in the heart of Newport News, the community is designed for seniors. Energy-efficient systems were implemented to enhance building efficiency and reduce energy costs for all 44 one- and two-bedroom apartments.
The development also features 100% Universal Design units, along with amenities such as a laundry room, computer center, and garden plots.
The project was funded through Virginia’s 9% competitive Low Income Housing Tax Credit Program.
The project team included Landbridge Development, Martin Riley Associates, Agile Construction Company, and Excel Property Management, showcasing a commitment to the environment, resident’s health, comfort, and financial stability.
